HTC to come with Windows 8 Phone - Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S



HTC has unveiled two Windows Phone 8 handsets - HTC Windows Phone 8X and HTC Windows Phone 8S. Both smartphones are compact and look stunning. Let's run through the specs of these HTC phones:

HTC Windows Phone 8X:
It is a sleek (10.1mm thick) phone, whichhas polycarbonate unibody, similar to that of the One X. Its dimension is 132.4 x 66.2 x 10.1 and weighs 130g.  HTC Windows Phone 8X donws a 4.3" Super LCD 2 display with Gorilla Glass 2 protection. 

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset with two Krait cores clocked at 1.5GHz, Adreno 225 GPU and 1GB of RAM, this HTC phone runs Microsoft's latest phone OS, Windows Phone 8.

The 8MP camera with BSI sensor has dedicated HTC ImageChip and can shoot 1080p video with stereo sound. The front-facing 2.1MP camera is also capable of recording 1080p videos. For enhanced music exerince, it has Beats Audio sound. 16GB storage comes on the board and can be expanded with a microSD card.

On connectivity front, HTC Windows Phone 8X has dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, NFC, Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB and 3.5mm audio jack.


It’s been heard that Windows Phone 8X will be available in the beginning of November. Till now, HTC source has not uttered any words on pricing of the phone. 

HTC Windows Phone 8S:
This is another phone running on Windows 8 OS with 4-inch capacitive Super LCD display with Gorilla Glass protection. Based on Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset, the phone runs on a 1GHz dual-core Krait processor and Adreno 225 GPU. It has 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage, which can be expandable via a microSD card slot. It packs a 1700 mAh battery for long backup. 

It comes with 5MP camera with LED flash, 720p video recording and dedicated camera key. Beats Audio in the phone enhances music listening experience. The device will offer Wi-Fi, GPS (with GLONASS), and Bluetooth connectivity. 
 

Let's wait and see if HTC will take over the Windows smartphone market which was once Nokia's sole share. Nokis is the Microsoft's main partner and now HTC is trying to make its bonding.

  1. Am planing to by htc 8s..is there any problem with woindows os? have heard bad about the os....so, shoud i prefer android or can i buy this phone?
